FG trains 100 Ondo youth and women in digital marketing

The National Productivity Centre, Abuja, has trained no fewer than 100 women and youths in Ondo State in digital marketing, in a bid to acquaint them with modern marketing systems through information and communication technologies.

The program was facilitated and sponsored by the office of the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Senator’s Press Assistant, Yinka Ajagunna, the training held at Ikare Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area of ​​the state, concluded on Friday.

According to the statement, at the end of the training, the participants were given laptops and money to start their own business.

Additionally, participants, who hailed from the six local government districts of the senatorial district, were taught digital marketing topics, including social media marketing, search engine optimization, and e-commerce, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Senator Ipinsagba, represented by his legislative assistant, Prince Olusola Aladetimehin, said the initiative, the second in the series, is part of his commitment to improving the economic prospects of his constituents, especially the youth and women.

He said: “The Digital Marketing Training Programme is designed to bridge the skills gap and promote economic growth in Ondo North Senatorial District.

“Participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the digital economy and received laptops and startup grants.

“This is the second in the series and is part of my commitment to improving the economic prospects of my people in Ondo North Senatorial District, especially the youths and women.”

The senator from the All Progressives Congress has promised to impact the people of the senatorial district through self-sustaining development programmes.
