FIBA Afrobasket 2025: d’Atigress qualifies for the quarterfinals, defeat Mozambique to extend the career undefeated to 26

D’Atigress from Nigeria continued his domain in the current FIBA Afrobasket of women 2025 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, defeating Mozambique 60–55 to ensure a place in the quarterfinals and extend his undefeated streak to 26 games.

In a very played group D match at the Palais des Sports in Treichville on Monday, African champions renowned were recovered from an early deficit.

The team cancels a part-time score of 28–24 to seal the victory with strong performances in the last two quarters (18-15 in the third quarter, 18-12 in the fourth quarter).

Murjanatu Musa led the position for Nigeria, publishing 19 points, while Leia Dongue de Mozambique stood out for her team with 11 points.

Despite firing the struggles from beyond the arch (13.04% for Nigeria and 20% for Mozambique), D’Tigress showed resilience, achieving a score race of 12-0 in the third quarter to change the impulse to his favor.

With this victory, Nigeria heads Group D and advances directly to the quarterfinals, maintaining its search for a sixth consecutive title of Afrobasket.

The D’Atigress will return to action at the end of this week, since its goal is to continue its impressive streak and defend its African crown.
