FIRS Fair Wike’s FCTA for the closure of the office, says not because of the rent on the ground

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has criticized the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) for the closure of one of its offices in Abuja, defining the “harmful” and “unprofessional” action.

In a declaration issued via X (previously Twitter), Arabirin Adneronke Atayebi, technical assistant on the transmission media to the executive president FIRS, accused the FCTA, led by Minister Nyesom Wike, of having taken the agency unjustly targeted.

“He is so unwillingly of the FCTA led by the Wike to close our office, distracting the staff who take place for their functions when we did nothing wrong,” said Atoyebi.

“Especially in a crucial week like this when we can’t wait to sign the tax reform invoices. Fcta, you started great, FIRS is not due.”

He also accused the FCTA of attempting to use FIRs as a scapegoat.

“If you are looking for an autumn boy, please move further,” he added.

“We shouldn’t be your scapegoat when you know that the lies you have spread in the media and your harmful/illegal action will damage our operations.”

FIRS claimed not to have pending payments for the FCTA rental in the last 25 years and insisted on the fact that its obligations had been resolved until 2023.

“We have the rehearsals,” said Atoyebi, rejecting the demanding claims.
