Flying Eagles will give everything to beat Kenya – Zubairu

Flying Eagles chief coach Aliyu Zubairu says that his team will give everything to defeat Kenya in his last group match in the Sub-20 Cup of Africa 2025.

The Zubairu team played a goalless draw against Morocco in its second Group B game at the June 30 Air Defense Stadium at Cairo on Sunday night.

The result leaves Nigeria in second place in the group with four points from two games with the leaders of the Morocco Group, who have a superior goals difference.

Meanwhile, Kenia sits at the bottom of the table after losing 3-2 against Morocco and 3-1 against Tunisia in her two initial games. Despite his bad way, Zubairu insists that his team will not take the stars on the rise to light.

“We will approach the game against Kenya with any sense of positivity,” Zubairu said after the clash of Morocco.

“They are a good team and we will play against them with much respect even though they still have no point in this group. We will play with the complete concentration to obtain the three points.

β€œWe have seen the Kenyans play, we saw them in their game against Morocco, and we know what they can offer.

“And the fact that they have no point does not reduce the strength of their team. We are going to enter with the right mentality.

“We are going to address the game with any sense of positivity to make sure we get the three points of the game.”

A victory for the Flying Eagles on Wednesday will guarantee its place in the quarterfinals and will bring you another step to qualify for the FIFA 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile.
