The Hadin Kai Operations Forces (OPHK) have recorded the success of the major battlefield, killing 17 boko fighters of Haram and Iswap and safely relieved 14 improvisation explosive devices (IED) during a series of operations that sweep throughout Borno and parts of the State of Adamawa.
The coordinated attack was carried out between July 23 and August 2, 2025, targeting rebel hiding places in Bama, Konduga, Gwoza, Magumeri, and regional governments in the state of Borno, and Michika in the State of Adamawa.
Acting Director of the Army Public Relations at the theater Command Headquarters, Captain Reuben Kovangiya, confirmed the development in a statement on Monday, issued on behalf of the theater Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.
“The operation caused neutralization of several terrorists, recovery of various kinds of weapons and ammunition, and the discovery and blasting of Eid which were safe to be planted to cause casualties to civilians and troops,” the statement said.
Offensive is strengthened by precision air strikes from the OPHK air components and land support from the Civil Assistance Task Force (CJTF), joining to carry out ambush, patrols, mission clearance, and logistical disorders of the terrorist movement.

Among the restored items are several AK-47 rifles, PKT engine rifles, AK-47 magazine, 7.62mm ammunition cache, more than 2,300 liters of diesel and 1,000 liters of gasoline, and two generators, three wheels, rice bags, surah panels, and several motorbikes.
In addition to the battle of profits, the military facilitated safe returns of more than 987 people who were moved internally (IDP) to their ancestral homes in Mandaragrau, Biu LGA, as part of the ongoing residential efforts led by the Borno state government.
The troops were also involved in cross-border operations together with Nigerien troops in the DIFFA-DUJI-DAMASAK Corridor, which aims to strengthen the collaboration of regional counselorism.
“A sustainable offensive operation underlined our commitment to restore peace and allow socio -economic activities to be continued in the northeast,” said Captain Kovangiya.
He reiterated the military determination to maintain pressure on rebel groups, in line with the direction of the high command, stated that terrorists would no longer enjoy freedom of movement in the region.
