The Safe Haven Operations Forces (Opsh) have killed two bandits allegedly in the highlands.
Media Opsh officer, Major Samson Zhakom, revealed this in a statement on Friday in JOS.
He said the suspects were killed after receiving information about bandit activities in the Nemaledu Community, Gimbi District in the regional government in the state.
He added that the troops also found firearms during the operation.
The spokesman said: “Acting on the instructions on the bandit movement along the Nemaledu Wase LGA community, our troops laid an ambush at the bandit crossing point in the area.
“During the operation, the troops made contact with bandits and neutralized two of them.
“The troops also found an AK-47 rifle made from a neutralized bandit.”
Zhakom, who called for the support of the highlands, said that Opsh was committed to watering all criminal elements from the country.
