Former ADC Presidential Candidate, Kachikwu, blamed ‘Politician Desa’ for Terrorism

The Presidential Candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 election, Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu, said on Thursday that sponsors of terrorism came out to discredit the current government before the 2027 election.

Kachikwu, who stated this in a statement in Lagos, said that murder and kidnapping nationally were intended to describe the government as weak and unable.

He claimed that the sponsors of terrorists wanted to distort the political landscape to present themselves as a savior ahead of the 2027 general election.

“What is called a savior claims to be a mission. Ask themselves their average age and what they really do to make a living.

“Their main income comes from politics and government position. They will not stop, even shed innocent blood, only to remain in power,” he said.

Kachikwu urged the Nigerians not to forget the past, not to be fooled, and not allowing innocent deaths.

“Recently, Nigeria has witnessed many murders, especially in the Central Belt region.

“Every incident is often reported as a clash or farmer’s bandits. Reports quoting ‘dozens’ or ‘hundreds’ are killed without identifying who they are.

“These victims are father, mother, children, friends, and neighbors. They are Nigerians, just like you and me.

“They have names – Gyang, Dalyop, Gonsum, Silas, Mary, Yohana, Dogonyyaro, Beni, Sarah, Ochekpe, Yakubu, Danladi, and Josephine.

“Their dreams and fate are cut short, but we will always remember it,” added the former presidential candidate.

Kachikwu emphasized that the victims lived in the hearts of good intentions, and their families should not grieve alone.

He noted that the Nigerians were conditioned to receive loss of life as usual.

“In just one week, the bomb attack has been continued in Northern Nigeria.

“We see the same tactics used by politicians who are desperate as long as President Goodluck Jonathan repeats themselves.

“May God entertain families who are grieving and forgive our nation,” he concluded.
