Four people were killed and 20 others injured in a car accident along the Ilesa-Akure expressway in Osun State on Wednesday.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in the state, Taofeek Somunbi, who confirmed the news to journalists on Saturday, said two commercial buses and a truck were involved in the accident.
He added that three women and one man died in the incident.
According to FRSC officials, the accident was caused by overspeeding and reckless driving by the drivers of the vehicles involved.
He appealed to road users to be careful when driving for the safety of themselves and other drivers.
