The French government has decided to ban smoking on the beach, parks and other public spaces from July 1 to protect children.
The Minister of State Health, Catherine Vautrin, said that this in Paris on Friday.
He said there were plans to reduce nicotine content in vaping products and reduce the amount of flavors available.
The minister said: “Anyone who violates the new smoking ban must pay a fine of 135 Euros ($ 153).
“The regulation must be monitored by the City Police.
“My goal is simple and very ambitious: to ensure that children born in 2025 became the first smoke-free generation.”
Vautrin said that the new national smoking restrictions, many of them already exist at the local level, are designed to support the vision.
However, outdoor seats in cafes and the use of smoking are freed from the prohibition, but young people should no longer smoke outside of school.
The minister said that the size of the area around the school where smoking is no longer permitted in the future is still determined.
