Fraud P& D $ 6.9 billion: The court postponed the British trial to November 3

Judge Obiora Egwuatu from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, postponed the adoption of the final written address in the case of the Director in the Limited Industrial Process and Development (P&D), James Nolan, until November 3.

The judge postponed the case after the absence of legal counsel for the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and defense in the court.

Judge Egwuatu also, on June 10, was improved September 24 (today) for this problem after the lawyer did not appear in the case when it was called.

This will be the second time this case is jammed.

Nolan, a British citizen, who was charged by EFCC for alleged involvement in the P&P $ 9.6 billion fraud, on January 16, told the court through his lawyer, Michael Ajara, that he would not call witnesses in the trial.

Nolan, who jumped the guarantee and fled from Nigeria in September 2022.

The lawyer said that he would rely on the prosecutor’s evidence that had been presented in court and would not provide additional evidence.

After submitting a legal counsel, Judge Egwuatu postponed the problem to adopt the final written address of the parties.
