Fubara reacts to supporting militant claims, supporting Bauchi Gov for the 2027 Presidency

The Governor of the State of Rivers, Siminaayi Fubara, has denied the accusations made by him by Dr. George Nwake, a former head of service, labeled them as fake, misleading, and politically driven.

In a statement released on Saturday, Fubara responded to the previous day’s claim where Nwake accused him of supporting the Presidential Offer of 2027 Governor Bala Mohammed who was reportedly 2027 and conspiring with militants to attack the oil pipeline and national assets in the river state.

Describing the accusation as baseless and ridiculous, Fubara questioned how civil servants such as Nwake would have access to high -level political discussions. He clarified that the visit of Bala Mohammed to Rivers State was public knowledge, given his role as the Chairperson of the People’s Democratic Party Governor Forum (PDP), and that there was no clandestine about his involvement in the state.

“It was ridiculous for Dr. Nwake to claim that he knew my meeting to encourage attacks on oil pipes and national assets,” Fubara said. “I have never held a meeting with militants or criminal groups to disrupt the country. I have consistently preach peace, even in facing provocation.”

The governor accused that Nwake had been compromised and made this accusation to serve the interests of those who tried to discredit his government and damaged the peace process initiated by Bola President Ahmed Tinubu.

“I ask all Nigerians who are well-mean and good people from the state of Rivers to ignore everything that Dr. Nwake said,” Urged Fubara, rejecting the accusation as an attempt to despair to disrupt the ongoing peace efforts.
