Iwobi completed £22m move to Fulham from Everton on transfer deadline day.

The Nigerian international is returning to London four years after Marco Silva signed him for Everton from Arsenal.

He expressed gratitude to Silva for showing faith in him and vowed to help the team succeed.

“Marco Silva spoke to me about the ambitions of the Club, and I’m on board. Hopefully, I can bring something to the Club.

“It is the second time he signed me and this is with a charm. He wants to challenge for titles.

“He gave me confidence when he signed me at Everton and I hope I can repay his faith in me. He believes in my abilities. I can’t wait to work under him again.

“I felt it was time to leave and return back to London. The history of the club and the ambition and it’s a new challenge. Qualifying for the European competition will be a great deal of achievement for the club.”

On his preferred position at Fulham, Iwobi said:

“I can play in numerous positions and can slot into any place in the forward. So whichever works is perfect for me.

“I want to do my best for the team. I want to create more memories at the club.

Iwobi made 123 Premier League appearances for Everton, scoring six times.
