FULL LIST: JAMB removes 23 CBT centers due to technical deficiencies

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has canceled 23 computer-based test (CBT) centers following technical deficiencies observed during the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB also issued warnings to several centers for minor technical issues, while one center was barred from participating in any of the future exams.

The council, in a statement on Friday, April 10, 2026, explained that the Mock UTME, introduced to help candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment, also serves as a key platform to assess their preparation ahead of the main examination.

He added that the exercise provided an opportunity to identify centers that failed to meet the required operational and technical standards.

“In the aftermath of the 2026 Mock UTME, the Council’s internal review mechanisms identified a number of centers that failed to meet these standards. As a result, the Council has taken decisive action, in line with its commitment to maintaining the integrity of its examination processes, to ensure that only fully prepared and compliant centers participate in the main UTME exercise,” JAMB said.
