The hat he was wearing when he died, sat right on him on a shelf full of memories of his life.

Israel Seeing the waves of soldiers like eLiran took their own lives – five died from suicide last month.

The IDF investigation (Israeli Defense Forces) has found what they have seen and done in Gaza which is the cause, according to reports by the Israeli public announcer.

Eliran told Sky News, her son returned from Gaza, a man who changed and she was worried that there would be more suicide among Israeli soldiers.

“He never left Gaza in his mind,” said Jenny.

“When he returned, he could not return to work. He was a great father with a lot of patience. And he lost his patience with his children, with people.

“He was very silent. He did not sleep at night, he had a nightmare. We don’t know anything about it. He doesn’t speak. Every time we ask him, he tells everything to be fine.”

Jenny described the elashes as someone who was happy and made friends with everyone. The father of four children “with a big heart” and a big smile. But his experience of war “hurt his soul”.

Initially, he was mobilized to cleanse the body of a person being slaughtered by Hamas At the Nova Festival on October 7 and then deployed to Gaza a day later.

Eliran is active on social media and sharing time video in Gaza. He is the commander of the D9 bulldozer unit that destroys the building and the axis of the tunnel.

After his death, his D9 colleague, Guy Zaken, told the parliamentary committee that they were often shot and they ran more than hundreds of bodies.

But they filmed themselves smiling and sang to be sent to their families. Eliran shares several videos on social media.

Israel has flattened most of the Gaza. Elairan is part of a systematic campaign which according to the United Nations has damaged or destroyed more than 90% of Gaza’s house. Human rights experts warn this can be a crime of war.

Eliran was pulled out of Gaza after he suffered a knee injury in an RPG (rocket grenade) attack on his bulldozer.

‘Body and blood’

He was later diagnosed with PTSD (post -trauma stress disorders) – We did not know the cause of trauma but in the end he could not live with him. Two days before he was going back to an active assignment, he took his own life.

“What he saw there in Gaza injured his soul. You see all the body there and all the blood. It hurts your soul,” said Eliner.

Israeli media reported that at least 18 soldiers had taken their own lives so far this year.

Thousands of people suffer from PTSD. And more and more backups who are quietly refuse to work.

IDF said that supporting its service members was a top priority and investing significant resources in doing so, including spreading mental health workers in all military units.

Tuly Flint is one of the officers. A clinical social worker and expert in trauma therapy in his professional life, and a Lieutenant Colonel in military reserves, he was mobilized to offer psychological support to the troops on duty in Gaza.

Last year, after caring for many soldiers and being exposed to extreme suffering from Gazans, Tuly to the conclusion that war had no purpose and it was a crime against humanity. So he refused to continue serving at IDF.

“At the beginning of the war what we usually see is a simple PTSD. People who talk about the horror they see in the first few weeks with the Hamas massacre,” Tuly said.

“But since the second month of the war, people began to talk about what happened to the Palestinian side.

“Even people who do not talk about Palestinian rights, or something, they begin to talk about the fact that they see the bodies of children, parents, women.”

‘You think, are they lying to me’

I asked Tuly how the army felt Benjamin NetanyahuNarration that there is no famine in Gaza – that the picture we see is a lie.

The Israeli military witnesses what happened in Gaza in the way most of the world, including international journalists, still cannot.

“When you hear your government and your commander say things that are not true, you start thinking, do they also lie to me?” said Tuly.

“When you hear your prime minister, you lie about things you see in Gaza, things you do … people -people talk about burning the house, people talk about ‘deadlines’ -not metaphors -deadlines when people cross them will be killed no matter whether they are children or women … they see hunger people and they also see chaos.”

Can Netanyahu defeat Hamas’s ideology?

After almost two years of war, human costs are very burdensome to the people of Israel. The majority of Israelis now believe that only an agreement, not a military pressure, will bring the rest of the hostages.

And the humanitarian crisis that occurred right opposite the border became a source of public anxiety. Former military and intelligence head is also now against war.

The commanders for the Israeli Security Group (CIS) argued, in his professional assessment, “Hamas is no longer a strategic threat to Israel” – and has written a letter to Donald Trump who asked him to force Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war.

Tuly Flint said there was an erosion of trust between the army and those who led them.

“When you return home and you hear so many people – former Chief of Staff, former Head of the Israeli Security Agency – saying ‘This war has no more purpose’ … You said to yourself: ‘I heard from the former Chief of Staff that I killed the hostages with the war and my government was still sending me there?’

“When you see the images that you have seen with your own eyes and your government says ‘No, this is a lie, no, this is a propaganda’, this makes you not trust everyone. And when you don’t trust everyone, why do you ask for help?”

Mental and moral burdens in the army can grow.

Apart from the strong objection from IDF Chief of Staff, Israel expanded military operations in Gaza with plans to control the entire region.
