‘Get rid of the terrorists hiding in Aso Villa’, former US mayor, Mike Arnold, charged the Nigerian military

The former Mayor of Blanco, Texas, in the United States, Mike Arnold, has condemned Nigeria’s security failure in reducing insecurity in the country, stating that terrorists hiding in the jungle and those operating in the Aso Presidential Villa and their sympathizers must be wiped out from the face of the earth without mercy.

Arnold, who is also the founder of Arise International, made the scathing criticism in a post on X on Wednesday, stressing that Nigeria’s fight against terrorism would be futile as long as powerful insiders protect or collaborate with terrorist groups.

“Terrorists must be hunted down and removed from the earth without mercy. Including their supporters, wherever they are, from villages to villas. They and their ideology are a cancer for human civilization,” wrote the former mayor.

He then accused President Bola Tinubu’s government of prioritizing the welfare of “bloodthirsty terrorists” over the welfare of millions of Nigerians displaced by violent extremism across the country.

Arnold also criticized what he described as “a consistent pattern of government empathy and resources being funneled to violent groups, while the victims of the insurgency remain abandoned in overcrowded refugee camps.”
