Nigeria’s forward Gift Orban has suffered another setback in his bid to return to top form.
According to the Gent’s head coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck, the forward is injured again, less than a week after making his return.
Orban made a triumphant return to the team last Thursday by scoring for Gent in the UEFA Europa League.
However, his club manager, Van Hein Vanezebrouk, confirmed his latest injury following a league game on Sunday.
“Gift had been dealing with an ongoing issue, which we believed was under control and that he was fit. During the warm-up, he felt discomfort while performing sprints.
“He underwent exercises and worked with physiotherapists. We are now in a wait-and-see situation, hoping for a swift recovery.” He confirmed.
The 21-year-old has made just nine appearances for Gent this season and scored just two goals.
