Sergio Francisco de Real Sociedad has considered the surplus of Sadiq Umar of the requirements of the real society, which makes it a strong candidate to leave the club.
The Nigerian striker spent the last six months of last season in Villarreal, where he made 19 appearances and scored six goals.
Sadiq has endured a difficult spell in the Royal Society since it joined in the summer of 2022 for a fixed rate of 20 million euros plus € 6 million in accessories.
His time at the club has been affected by injuries, which forced him to lose 47 games. He has played a total of 50 games for the Basque team, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
According to the Spanish departure Mundo Deportivo, Girona shows interest in Sadiq.
Real Sociedad would prefer a permanent transfer or loan agreement that includes a mandatory purchase option clause.
Currently, Girona is on the market for an experienced striker, since they seek to sell Bojan Mivski, which is no longer part of Michel’s plans.
However, Sadiq defends a transfer to Valencia, where he hopes to meet with Carlos Corberán.
The Nigerian also likes the city, but Valencia has not yet submitted a substantial offer to the true society.
