The recent appointment of President Bola Tinubu of Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi as General Manager, Department of State Services (DSS), has contributed to reverse the tide of hosiciness in the country that said the governor of the State of Adamawa Ahmadu Umaru Fingi.

The Governor praised the secret police for that which he described as a “series of successful security operations conducted within the state capital and its surroundings, including the recent additional arrest of two members of a feared Band of kidnapping, Namomai Medan and Mikaila Yusufa”.

A statement by the press leader of the Governor Finriti, Humwashi Wonosikou, observed that the duo “was part of a gang of three men responsible for the kidnapping of two Catholic clerics, Frs Matthew David Dutsemi and Abraham Sauman, in February 2025, to a convent in Numan, in the state of Adicawa.”

The DSS agents had previously arrested another suspicious member of the kidnapping union, Low Jonathan Damiel.

According to the declaration, the Governor Forniri praised the professionalism of the DSS agents, saying that it was impressed by the fact that the victims of the kidnapping were saved without paying any redemption.

“Without postponement, these galant agents went further to arrest the minds of kidnappings”, observed the governor, even if he thanked the leadership of the DSS in Abuja and in the state for what he described as their “courage in realizing a successful operation”.

He warned: “We do not spare anyone found desire, regardless of who you are” and said that his administration would continue to give priority to the safety of life and property and would make criminals work difficult.

“Thegovernorr underlined the importance of sharing intelligence and cooperation with other law enforcement agencies. He believes that the efforts by the DSS, the police, the armed forces and others will give investors and residents the trust in living and investing in the state, since peace and security are fundamental for socio-economic development”, said the note.
