Governor Fubara swears in the chairmen of the river protection committee

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has been sworn in as the new interim chairmen for the 23 local government areas of the state. They took the oath of office on Wednesday 19 June at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital, under conditions of maximum security. This comes a day after forwarding the list to the state House of Assembly led by the faction’s president, Victor Jumbo.
