Governor Radda reshuffles cabinet, begins one-month leave

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda on Wednesday reshuffled his cabinet.

The Governor’s Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, confirmed the development in a statement in Katsina.

Those affected are Dr. Bashir Gambo-Saulawa, who was transferred from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Water Resources, and Hajiya Hadiza Yar’Adua, from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Women’s Affairs.

Another commissioner affected is Hajiya Zainab Musawa, who was transferred from the Ministry of Women’s Affairs to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

Alhaji Hamza Suleiman-Faskari from the Ministry of Water Resources was transferred to the Ministry of Environment, and Alhaji Isa Muhammad-Musa was transferred from the Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education.

Also affected are Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu-Jirdede from the Ministry of Rural and Social Development to the Ministry of Special Duties, Prof. Abdulhamid Ahmed, from the Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education to the Ministry of Rural and Social Development.

Alhaji Musa Adamu-Funtua was transferred from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Health.

β€œThe Governor ordered all affected commissioners to immediately hand over their current responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries.

The governor will be on a one-month vacation from Thursday to August 18.

Since then he has handed over state affairs to his deputy, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe.
