The Governor of the State of Zamfara, Dauda Lawal, on Wednesday began a visit to several new communities in a snowed by bandits, promising stronger security steps and urged residents to intensify prayers for peace.
In recent weeks, several cities and villages in the state in the state have been hit by armed and kidnapping waves, making thousands of women and children displaced and vulnerable. The severity of the crisis encourages the Zamfara State Council to call the Federal Government to take control of security operations in the state.
The Governor’s tour was leading him to Banga, Kurya Madaro, Maguru, Sakajiki, and Kyambarawa in the Kaura Namoda Regional Government, where he met with the victims and community leaders. In Banga, he expressed his condolences to the grieving family and convincing the citizens of his government commitment to restore safety.
“We are here to sympathize with you and bow with their families who lose their lives as a result of the attack. When such bad activities occur, I am far from the country but I send a strong delegation led by my representative and the State Government Secretary to sympathize with you.
“As leaders, we are not happy with the current security situation in the state and other parts of the country,” said the Governor.
Lawal stressed that security remains its main priority and swear to work with security and stakeholders to find lasting solutions.

“We will continue to do our best to promote the security and safety of our people. As we know, security is needed for any community development, therefore, since the beginning of our government, security is our number one priority,” he added.
In Kurya Madaro, Maguru and Kyambarawa, the governor urged residents to intensify their religious -based efforts against bandits.
“We must pray to God and seek His intervention, I believe in the prayer -Doa continuously, all these challenges will be history,” he told the meeting.
While in Sakajiki, Governor Lawal announced plans to build roads that connect cities to the main highway, saying that the project will not only increase access but also strengthen security and increase socio -economic activities in the area.
