Governor Zulum excited while Dangote feeds 40,000 families in Borno

Over 40,000 families in the State of Borno benefited from the Aliko Dangote food intervention program as part of measures to cushion the effects of economic challenges.

The governor of the state of Borno, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, said that the donation of 40,000 10 kg rice bags to the people of the state of Borno from Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) would help to balance the economic difficulties in these families.

A declaration of the Department of Company Communications of the Dargote Group, mentioned the Governor, represented by the general manager of the Borno State emergencies management agency (traffic), Ali Abdullahi Isa, that he had told the flag off the fierce intervention program to Maiduguri.

The Aliko Dangote Foundation had, the penultimate week, started the distribution of one million rice bags for a value of n16 billion in the 774 areas of the local government in Nigeria.

Zulum said: “Today marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to relieve the suffering of our people, in particular during the sacred month of Ramadan”.

According to him, the generous donation is a testimony of the Foundation’s commitment to support vulnerable communities and the promotion of social well -being.

“We are deeply grateful to Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the whole base for their kindness and philanthropy,” he said

And he urged the people of the State of Borno to continue to pray for the peace, stability and prosperity of the state and the country.

A representative of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Usman Muhammad, said that the gesture aims to support the government’s effort, adding that the Foundation focuses on improving the Nigerians’ living conditions.

Muhammad said that the donation is targeted to the poor and vulnerable people in the state.

A beneficiary, Ms. Aisha Modu, 50 years old, said that as a crooked person, the donation of rice by the ADF will do a lot to alleviate his economic difficulties.

Another beneficiary, Umaru Aliyu, 60, said he will use rice to feed his six children, while he prays God to continue blessing the president of the Aliko Dangote Foundation.
