A member of his family who testified on behalf of the family was the first to bring the church into the unusual grace that defined his era.

Doctor Alex Izinyon [SAN]who is the head of the Adeyinka family by virtue of his marriage to the late elder sister of Deacon Adejoke, reinforced uncommon grace in his vow of thanks at the song service which took place at the Living Faith Church, Kuje, Abuja, where the late Adejoke was a deaconess.

It was Dr. Izinyon’s exposition or explanation that actually painted the enormity of the health condition that Adejoke was suffering from but which she overcame by the grace of God.

She said Adejoke and her husband were in Guinea Conakry where they were working for God as missionaries when a certain health problem reared its head.

He said he was in England with his wife [Adejoke’s elder sister] twenty-three years ago when they received a call from Adejoke and her husband.

According to Izinyon, β€œWe asked them to come to England. We took her to The Manor Hospital, one of the best private hospitals, where she was diagnosed with a heart problem. She was given three years, maximum five years to live.

β€œI remember her as my wife [her sister] he was so worried about Adejoke. In his homily the pastor spoke about the mystery of life. Looking back, my wife died [ten years] does. My father-in-law, Adejoke’s husband and her younger brother died before her and she lived another twenty years, beating all medical prognosis… ”.

This testimony was to set the tenor of the funeral service for her on Friday, where resident and visiting pastors, T. Tomosori and Akintunde Ayodeji, eulogized Adejoke’s life of service in God’s vineyard and God’s reward of another twenty years , every year a product of grace. .

Both preachers urged family, friends and parishioners who attended the service to shun the works of the flesh, embrace works of righteousness, good works and, above all, the work of redemption.

Both postulated that β€œwe must embrace the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross otherwise all other works will be useless.”

At the song service, speaking on the theme β€œThe Mystery of Life”, Pastor Ayodeji said that life is a school.

β€œOur dad, Pastor David Oyedepo, keeps saying that the day you stop learning is the day you start dying.”

He said: β€œdeath is certain. Yours is coming.”

While emphasizing that β€œlife is a gift from God,” he emphasized the biblical injunction that called for us to number our days so that we might apply our hearts to wisdom.

β€œLife is a privilege and an understanding man and woman will be aware of every moment of life,” he said.

β€œWhat will you be remembered for? Life is a seed. Make it a good seed so that it will answer for you in eternity.

β€œLife is a transition. Whatever you do in life will always follow you. Where will you spend your eternity? Eternity with God or eternity in hell?”
