A group, Zannah Progressives Movement for Senator Zone A has Saturday declared support for Ali Ibrahim Zannah to contest for Senate in Yobe East Senatorial District.
The group made the declaration during a mega town hall meeting towards the actualisation of Alhaji Ali aspiration.
Addressing the gathering, the chairman Zannah Progressives Movement for Senator Zone A, Mohammed Abba Shishiwaji said, the meeting was to congratulate themselves for the recent nomination of Senator Ibrahim Geidam as minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Shishiwaji also stated that Geidam’s appointment has created a vacuum that needs to be filled with someone with vast knowledge about politics in the forthcoming by-election.
He further revealed that as concerned citizens of the state, they have found it necessary to quickly set agenda for themselves in making sure thay have promote person with capacity to replace Senator Geidam and build on his legacies.
The movement Leader revealed that at the moment, their focus is on someone who they all believe is passionate about the development and progress of the youth in the state.
“And this is not other person than Alhaji Ibrahim Zannah Ali.we are throwing our weight on him because of his passion in support of education on our younger generation.
“We are appealing to to our party,the All progressives Congress (APC) in the state,our Stakeholders,Leaders and most importantly the Youths to consider the movement,” he said.
