Armed men kidnapped Mr. Loveday Akari, Senior Special Assistant to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) CEO in the Ayakoro community, in the area of ​​the local government of Ogbia in the state of Bayelsa.

Intelligence sources, according to Zagazola Makama’s report, revealed that the accident occurred on March 7, 2025.

The sources said that the kidnappers fled using a boat, which was subsequently found abandoned a short distance from the crime scene.

“In response, the security forces have activated the blocking positions to limit the Hoodlum movement while the electronic surveillance activities were distributed to identify their hiding place,” added the source.

A team of joint services, including the Nigerian Navy, the tactical and marine units, was deployed to guarantee the communities of Onuebum and Ayakoro, where the police are leading an intensive hunt for the kidnappers.

In the meantime, research and rescue operations are underway to guarantee the release of Akari and make the authors justice.
