Head of Army for Troops: does not show compassion for terrorists

Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant. Olumi Oluyede, on Friday, ordered the commander and soldiers to clean terrorists from Nigeria’s territory without showing mercy.

Oluyede gave an order to the closing ceremony of the Biennial Coas Conference in Maiduguri, Borno State.

He said: “Ladies and gentlemen, there is no decision to fully neutralize these preferences into peace.

“So, I collect every officer and soldier not to set aside the quarter in running these terrorists and criminals to the ground

“They (terrorists) try to disturb our way of life and destroy the people built by our ancestors. We will not let that happen.”

CoA insisted that every strategic decision made at the conference must be adopted to achieve the goals of the first Biennial Conference.

“As a result of our deliberations, we will in the coming weeks, inaugurating more combat enablers into our operations.

“However, we need to understand that the power of the Nigerian army not only lies on the weapons we place on the battlefield, but more than the will of our soldiers who use it.

“Therefore, it is important to everyone who sits here to show an exemplary leadership, for mentors (army) and guide the next generation on the right path.

“Today, we are faced with enemies that threaten our socio -cultural heritage fabric.

“It should be noted that the depth of the discourse and clarity of thought revealed during our session reflects the intellectual rigidity and the strategic future views needed to encourage the Nigerian army into the future filled with unprecedented possibilities,” Oluyede added.
