The Headies Awards on Sundays respect the late singer Iherioluwa Aloba alias Mohbad with a special award and by Anumerta gave it “The Best Street Artist.”
In Mohbad’s emotional moments, life and music were respected during the ceremony, which recognized its influence on the Afrobeats scene and the streets in Nigeria before his tragic death.
Mohbad, whose popular songs “Feel Good” and “Peace” made him popular both on the streets and with general hearing, win the best street artists, categories that respect musicians who contribute to substantial music contributions to street culture.
At the 17th Headies award, which took place at the Landmark Event Center in Lagos, Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi, made the audience cry with a moving tribute.

In his touching statement, Omowunmi pondered the eternal impact of her husband when he received honor on his name.
The mother of one revealed that she did not consider Mohbad as “her late husband” because, in her opinion, she was still alive, especially through their little son Liam.
“On my behalf, my son Liam, a younger brother near my husband, Adura, and the whole family of Imonelization, we want to thank specially for this award,” he said.
