Heartland Queens Set For The New Season With 1-0 win Over Greenfoot Ladies In Enugu

Heartland Queens Football club of Owerri has rounded up their preseason tour with a slim 1-0 win in Enugu when they traded tackles against Greenfoot ladies at the Liberty Stadium their home turf on Wednesday 8th of November.

Faith Samson’s lone header in the second half which was assisted by Emmanuella James was all that was needed to separate the two sides.

However The Owerri Landladies showed class and precision with beautiful display of skills and strings of passes in the field of Play.

The host team Greenfoot ladies also maintained a solid defense having mastered the pitch and capitalizing on the home advantage.

Heartland Queens began their preseason tour two months ago after winning the southeast women football tournament, moved to Bayelsa to face Bayelsa Queens, moved to Benin to battle Edo Queens, They also moved to Port Harcourt to play Rivers Angels, afterwards went to Benin for the Betsy Obaseki football tournament and then finally to Enugu against Greenfoot Ladies.

The Queens will kick off their NWFL campaign on Thursday the 16th of November against Royal Queens of Warri and will afterwards travel to Lafia to battle Nasarawa Amazons.
