Hoodlums Attack Vigilante’s Office, Set Ablaze 5: Vehicles in Anambra

Hoodlums on Thursday morning attacked the office of the vigilante operations in the Umunze community, Orumba South Government Area at the Anambra State and burned the building.

They also set five operational vehicles parked in the building caught fire.

An eyewitness told reporters on Friday that the criminals stormed large numbers and began to shoot indiscriminately.

According to him, one of the vigilante members himself was beaten by a shot fired by the attackers on the feet.

“The criminals then fled from the scene before the arrival of the joint security forces led by the police,” the witness added.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident.

He said the joint security forces had taken over the scene.
