Hopeful fisu medal, John Thanks Bayelsa ‘President of Tennis

An Athlete student from Benson Idahosa University, Matthew John has expressed his gratitude to the president of the Bayelsa State Table Table Association, (Bystta) AMA-EBI EBIKPOLADE.

John, who is the product of (Bystta), emerged champion in the Fisu 2025 tests, ensuring his place to represent Nigeria at the Games of the World University Rhine-Ruhr Fisu in Germany.

The scholar of the University of Benson Idahosa showed an exceptional skill in the individual male event held at the University of Jos, underlying Bayelsa’s growing influence on Nigerian table tennis.

In a moving message to his mentor and paternal figure, Matthew expressed his joy, recognizing the support of the president on his trip.

“Good afternoon dad. I am delighted to share that I won the male single champion of the Fisu 2025 tests! I am always grateful for their unwavering support and guidance. This achievement would not have been possible without you. Thank you for believing in me. I love you!” He said he cited on the website of the Ministry of Youth of Bayels.

Matthew will join the Nigerian athlete Samuel Boboye, since they wear green and white in Germany from July 16 to 27, 2025, facing the best university players around the world.
