I am proud to step on a big man’s feet – wike

The Minister of Federal Capital Region (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Monday described his leadership style as strongly unrevered, especially in terms of facing the interests that were rooted in the country’s capital.

The Minister spoke in a media chat with journalists in Abuja.

He said: “Most of them do not have the courage to disturb people or step on the foot. But I like to step on the toes called big people, those who believe nothing can happen to them. I say, something will happen.”

The Governor of the former Rivers emphasized that his government in FCT was focused on justice and enforcement of power, regardless of his status.

“People want me to make life more difficult for the poor and ignore the strong. But if you do the wrong, big or small thing, there will be consequences. That’s how we get results. I don’t care who cows are caught,” Wike said.

His comments followed an increase in the enforcement of land rental payments in Abuja, part of a broader effort by the FCT administration to increase the income generated internally and clean up the record of land ownership in the capital.
