A former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, boasted on Saturday that he would defeat the President of the Tinubu Bola if he got a ticket for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 presidential election.

The Governor of the former Rivers State stated this during a conversation on the X platform.

He claimed that the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, won at Rivers State during the 2023 election.

Amaechi, who said he had never participated in election fraud, argued that he consistently refused the promise to serve in the Election Planning Committee of the Congress of All Progressive (APC).

The former Minister vowed that he would stop the election malpractice if elected as president of the country.

Amaechi threw APC for ADC in June.

He said: “Let me say this, I don’t have the election against Tinubu. I know Tinubu very well. I know the strengths. I know the weaknesses. And I know that if allowed to fly the ADC flag, I will definitely defeat Tinubu.

“I have never participated in election fraud. I challenge politicians, live or die, to move forward and say I am part of fraud.

“I will never participate in any fraud, and I will not do it. What I promise to do now, in the future, is to stop cheating.

“All the promises given to me by APC to join the Election Planning Committee, I have refused to participate.

“There is no one I followed. Why? Because I know what they discuss and listen to them. If I get a ticket, I will reveal those things.

“In the 2023 election, I agreed to a certain extent that Peter Obi won at the Rivers State, but unfortunately, the results that came out were different. How did it happen, I didn’t know.”
