The coach of the Italian team A, Atalanta Gian Piero Gasperini, explained the confusion that led to the decision to replace Adela Lookman in his 0-1 defeat against Lazio, his third consecutive defeat without scoring a goal.
The Gasperini side has seen that his position for the title vanishes in recent games, letting the race be among the leaders of Inter Milan and the closest challengers Napoli, which are four points. Atalanta is third in 58 points, a smoker ten points behind the leaders.
The gap was largely extended due to its last three games that have ended in the defeat without the team scoring a goal. That is why the coach’s decision to replace Talisman Lookman when they were in search of a goal was presented at the conference after the game.
He confessed that it was a mistake due to the nicknames of the player who wanted to get on and the Nigerian who led to his accidental departure from the game, and could not do anything about it, since it was too late when he realized.
“There was a misunderstanding among the nicknames ‘Ede’ and ‘Ade’, the problem is that Lookman had already left the field, he had already put his feet and, therefore, there was no possibility of returning to return,” Gasperini explained after the game.
