Idris launches Hajj kits 2026 for pilgrims planning on Kebbi

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has inaugurated the distribution of Hajj kits 2026 to intending pilgrims.

The items distributed included two sets of 23kg bags, two sets of uniforms for men and two sets of Hijabs for women.

Inaugurating the distribution at the Kauran Gwandu Hajj camp in Birnin Kebbi, the governor promised to support intending pilgrims.

He appreciated the leadership of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Agency, under the chairmanship of Alhaji Faruku Musa-Enabo, for transforming the agency.

“I vividly remember that under your leadership we won many awards for our dear state, this is commendable. Please continue to keep the flag flying high,” he said.

The governor on Monday praised Kebbi pilgrims for respecting the law in Saudi Arabia during the previous Hajj.

Idris took the opportunity to plead with intending pilgrims to pray for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the country that God’s guidance and wisdom may lead well.

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, expressed appreciation to the Kebbi government and the welfare agency.

The agency president said Kebbi leads the highest number of intending pilgrims in the nation.

Musa-Enabo said Kebbi will remain one of the states that will be honored after the 2026 Hajj exercise.

“We are here to witness the distribution of Hajj kits 2026 to intending pilgrims.

“Each intending pilgrim will receive two bags of 23 kg each for a total of 46 kg for each pilgrim.

“We have 12 flights that will take off from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport and land directly in Madinah,” he said.

The President noted with satisfaction that the agency was successful in securing houses for intending pilgrims near Haram (Ka’aba), stating that the houses were not up to 300 meters away from Haram. (NAN)
