‘If I open my mouth to expose Obi, otti will smell like rotten eggs’, faction chairs, abure

The chairman of the faction that was fought from the Labor Party (LP), Julius Abure, has threatened to expose the party’s flag carrier in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, the Governor of the State Abia, Alex Otti and the Great Wigs of other parties if he was pushed to the wall.

Abure, who made a threat when speaking to several party members in Abuja on Tuesday, also issued public challenges to Obi and other former candidates in the party to provide evidence of money allegedly given to him or the party during the 2023 general election.

In the video that is trending where he caused challenges, Abure vowed that he did not receive financial support from one of the candidates for personal use.

He then warned that if provoked, he would expose Obi and others in the opposite faction and they would all smell like “rotten eggs.”

“I want to challenge them all. I am watching television and I see some of them talking about corruption. Today, I want to challenge them all, from Peter Obi to those who fight for elections. Let one of them come out and tell the world they personally give to me or to the party,” Abure said.

“It’s not to go and hide and say there is corruption in the party. Who and who they brought money? Who did they give? Where did they send it?

“I challenged them today that one of those who had evidence, even if they did not have proof, let them dare and come out and say when and how they gave money and if they could not do that, let them forever withstand their peace.”

Abure also promised to hold a world press conference to handle the accusation, emphasizing that he remained silent too long because of respect and hope for reconciliation.

“I will hold a world press conference and openly challenge them. As a leader, we have been silent to say they might make mistakes, one day, maybe they will return.

“When people talk about agents, and money for agents, I remain silent, I don’t say anything because I believe that the bad, good and bad is for me. And because of that, I can’t throw away bad children or bad children.

“When I saw that some people exceeded their limits, I came out and released the edges of what was played. And I am sure that now, the house is no longer together like that.

“I wait for them from top to bottom to make another movement and I will open my mouth and when I open my mouth, wherever they go, they will be like an odor, rotten eggs that will never be bought by anyone.”

Abure also needed time to Lambast Governor Otti, challenging him to provide evidence that he (Abure) embezzled party funds.

“Look at the governor who jumped like cricket from one point to another, we did not collect change from him. If he paid anyone with a dime, let him come and say that. We believe that we want to make a difference in politics and we allow everyone.

“When I met him on Transcorp, he asked me, ‘Chairman, what should I do for you?’ I said, ‘Nothing.

“We support them but today the party does not have N1,000 from one of them, not from the elected governor that we have suspended now or from the Senator and members of the Reps Representative Council, regardless of some of them.

“We refused the offer because of the position they was holding. But today, they are at their frontlines who are trying to drive us out of the office,” he said.
