If only the non-politicians were this united. It’s nice when Igbos and Yorubas get along and operate under the solid premise that they’re almost the same people (which is kind of true as far as West African genetics and more removed cultural markers go) but there’s serious beef. Tribalism’s still going strong, unfortunately.
I wish this can go viral. Igbo's have lived in Lagos for ages and there are Yoruba's living and doing business peacefully in Igbo land. Why is it now that the fan of hatred and religious bigotry started blowing? Who started it and ensured it was blown out of proportion if not for the devilish politicians who were afraid of losing out if the people knew the power they possessed? That is why they resorted to tribalism and unfortunately some of our youths fell for it.
We should wake up and realize that politicians are our greatest problem and not your fellow Nigerians on the street suffering just like you are.

Even when the people don't want to fight each other, the politicians would create social media accounts using Yoruba and Igbo names. They would use those social media accounts created to instigate tribal bigotry and hatred.

The fight against ndigbo by Yorubas is gone beyond politics. It is born out of personal hatred. They don't want Igbos to achieve anything in Nigeria but to continue to play slavery.

Mr Macaroni, When you preach peace but you must advise that the non-indigene do not pass their boundaries in their host land and claiming ownership because they felt they have sold lands to them. What they cannot accept in their land should not be bringing such to the hosts lands. For Peace, every one must understand and not undermine the effort of all in their rights.
