Ighalo Bags Brace In Al Wehda’s Away Win

Odion Ighalo scored two goals to help Al Wehda beat Al Khaleej 2-1 away, in the Saudi Arabia top division on Friday.

The last time Ighalo scored was also a brace on 29 February 2024 in a 3-3 home draw.

Prior to Friday’s game, the former Super Eagles striker went nine straight games without scoring.

His brace against Al Khaleej means he has now scored 14 goals in 29 appearances in the Saudi topflight.

Ighalo opened the scoring in the 27th minute while Al Khaleej equalised on 66 minutes.

But in the 82nd minute Ighalo netted the winner from the penalty spot.

The win saw Al Wehda end a run of five consecutive games (three defeats, two draws) without a win.
