[Press Release] President Bola Ahmed Tinubu invited governors of all Nigeria to remain focused on the delivery of tangible results that improve the life of their people, exhorting them to ignore the critics of the armchair that they simply try to distract from work at hand.

During a two -day visit to Katsina, the president told the governors that the accurate measure of leadership is a positive and visible impact.

“Let people be at the center of your programs. Your hard work and concrete results respond to any criticism. Ignore distractions: your results will speak for you,” said the president.

The president commissioned a 24 km road, which the governor Dikko Urar Radda completed within 18 months. The president also commissioned the farm mechanized center of Katsina.

The road commissioned was the eastern bypass, which extended from the road to Dutsin-Ma through the streets of Kano and Daura and ended in Yandaki in the area of ​​the local government of Kaita.

“We have decided for peace and stability. I know that you face terrorism and attacks of bandits in the state, but you have shown determination and courage to advance Katsina State. You will not walk alone. The federal government will be with you,” he added.

President Tinubu observed that hunger and poverty remain the greatest threats to peace in the country.

“The economy is navigating in the right trajectory. Today, we are seeing an effort to ban hunger and a commitment to food safety and the empowerment of our people. Small and large -scale agriculture will be encouraged. Once you get rid of hunger, we will appreciate peace and harmony.

“The remarkable progress in the state will continue to be rewarded. I want to ensure the Nigerian public that agriculture is the heart of our progress and must be for everyone. We have dedicated ourselves to food safety. We must invest in mechanization and management of water resources. The old style of agriculture has disappeared,” he said.

The president said that the agriculture bank will be revived and adequately repositioned to meet the needs of farmers and improve agriculture and agricultural production.

“The bank of agriculture is revitalized. When I revive, the bank will make the funds available for large, medium and small scale agriculture,” he said.

President Tinubu praised governor Radda to have a significant impact on agriculture, health care, education and infrastructures in less than two years.

“I listened to your report card. It is a great task. In just half of your mandate, you made considerable progress. The commitment you have shown and the efforts you put to the government are highly commendable. You are a patriot, a son and a progressive mind with honesty.

“It was difficult during the elections when you started, thanks to former governors such as Ibrahim Shema, the manufacturer of Ponti Aminu Bello Masari and Waziri of the Universe, Ibrahim Masari.

“I want to congratulate the great people from Katsina for making the right choice by electing Radda. We collaborated with him for the good of the state and the country,” added the president.

President Tinubu has challenged the governors to pay more attention to agriculture.

“You have introduced a great progressive movement in the state of Katsina simply by making the earth and putting the use of the earth. Agriculture will be our source of prosperity and growth.

“We should remove from relying on oil and working on agriculture. He will bring prosperity. I praise you for the mechanization program. It is a great investment, and I hope others can learn from it. The construction of the 24 km road speaks of volumes on the effectiveness of the government. I say thanks,” said President Tinubu.

The president thanked the governors of the past of the state for intentional leadership and appreciated the traditional council, Katsina and Daura Emirates for supporting the unity, peace and progress of the country.

“Thanks for the great honor you gave me. Your coming to the airport to receive me made me feel so welcome. I am your son and I am one of you. You have shown commitment and sincerity for the unity and peace of our country.

“God will continue to honor you and raise you in grace for our country. For me, this is home home, and Katsina is at home. Home for progress, development and freedom forever,” he added.

Governor Radda said that the Katsina agricultural mechanized center will serve 34 local councils in the state, noting that 400 tractors had been purchased with the intervention of the N25 billion of the federal government.

He said that 160 km of roads had been built and some rehabilitated within the state during the period, while energy, water supply and health structures had improved people’s lives.

Governor Radda also added that the Ministry of Agriculture had provided 4,000 pumping machines to the state to improve irrigation agriculture.

He said that 448,000 tons of fertilizers were distributed to farmers last year and this year they will receive 400,000 tons.

The governors of Borno, Benue, Kaduna, Kwara and Jigawa participated in the commissioning. For former governors Aminu Masari and Ibrahim Shema, as well as ministers of culture, solid minerals and agriculture were also present.
