Speaking with Sports247, Clinton acknowledged that despite the victory, the intensity of the league requires a constant approach.

“We came prepared, but the lack of concentration at some times could have cost us,” he said. “We are not giving ourselves. This is not a sprint; it is a marathon. We only have three weeks in the 13 -week season and the league is becoming very competitive.”

Clinton highlighted the rapid growth of flag football in Nigeria and its growing attraction, particularly among women.

“Flag football is really interesting and exciting. I want to urge more women to join the game. It is an opportunity to compete, learn and be part of something that is growing rapidly in the country,” he added.
