
The trio of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in Imo state, State Organising Secretary, Hon Ikechukwu Umeh, erstwhile People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Publicity Secretary, Collins Opuruozor and Coordinator, Hope Uzodimma Educational Network, Ambassador Emmanuel Bilie Chukwu Njoku have expressed optimism that Governor Hope Uzodimma will dust other opponents to become victorious on November 11, 2023 Imo governorship election.
Speaking at the Imo APC governorship campaign flag-off, Wednesday, Hon Umeh said that the success recorded in the event was expected as more than 200 support groups for the governor turned up and testified to his good works.
The former Commissioner for Science and Technology seized the opportunity once again to encourage Imolites to come out en masse and vote for Uzodimma whose good works would definitely lead him to a second term. He was also excited about the presence of former governors, Ikedi Ohakim and Owelle Rochas Okorocha, saying it would act as a boost to his re-election.
Also speaking, Opuruozor who stormed the stadium with more than 5,000 PDP defectors made up of key players in Imo politics, four House of Representatives members, a former LGA chairman and seven former Imo PDP executives and others, made it clear that with Uzodimma’s great achievements he had already made the second term a reality. He advised Imolites to key into the Uzodimma project now that ” it is still morning”.
