Commissioner of the State Akwa Ibom for special tasks, Camelarad, Ememobong, has resigned from the government of Governor Umo Eno after the official defector of the Governor of the Democratic Party (PDP) to the Congress of All Progressive (APC).
Governor Eno officially announced his departure from the PDP at an event held at the Government Building, Uyo, on Friday, June 6, with leading APC figures including the Governor of the State Lagos Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Delta State, Governor of Oborevwori, Governor of the State Eka. Before his purchase, the Governor said that one of his cabinet members who failed to defect with him had to resign and shortly after the declaration, Ememobong, a former Commissioner for information and strategy immediately submitted his resignation by saying that he could not be disabled together with the Governor and other members of his cabinet.
In his resignation that he posted on his Facebook page, Ememobong quoted personal beliefs as a reason he could not defect to APC, encouraging his decision to resign.

“Today, I have submitted my resignation to the Governor in accordance with his direction that the person he pointed at did not want to join him on a political journey to APC must resign,” Ememobong wrote.
“Even though I could not question or blame the Governor’s personal decision, I could not join the stopover. My decision was brought out of my belief in politics with my old principles and opposition to the political platform.
“IPSO Facto, based on my personal beliefs, I will not be able to join the congress of all progressive.
“I here -to -respect this submitting my resignation as a respectable commissioner for special tasks and seaports in IBOMs and members of the State Executive Council,” he wrote.
