India stops the Nigerian woman with 1.8 billion people drugs

An Nigerian hairdresser and 25-year-old nail artist, Ifeoluwa Akinwunmi, was arrested by the India Anti-Christmas wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation to be in possession of 5.325 kilograms of MDMA crystals, estimated for a value of RS 10 crores (over N1.8 billion).

According to the New Indian Express, he was arrested last Tuesday in the village of Tarahunase, Rajanukunte Main Road, Bengaluru, weeks after another Nigerian, Emmanuel Bediako, also known as Maxwell, was arrested by the Telangana Anti-Naparcotics Bureau for drug trafficking.

The new Indian Express said that Akinwunmi was captured on arrival in Delhi with a suspect bag, which contained drugs and 11 new churidar, traditional Indian dresses, following a tip.

According to the results, Akinwunmi arrived in India in October 2021 with a business visa, but later he got a visa for students to study in a University of Telangana.

However, he never enrolled and was illegally overloaded in the country since his visa expired in 2022.

However, he denied knowing the contents in the bag, stressing that a friend in Delhi had ordered her to deliver it to a man who wore a black hat.

According to her, she planned to start a salon activity in Bengaluru and identified herself as the daughter of a Nigerian official, although she refused to provide further personal details.

β€œHe is a courier. He had come to drugs on a group of African street vendors at hand,

β€œWe noticed four men on two scooters in the area, but they did not collect the package. The princess was arrested while standing with the bag.

β€œThere are credible leads on his boyfriend in Delhi, who is currently on the run. He will be taken into custody by the police for further investigations.

“This is the first case recorded against her in the city and we still have to check if there are cases elsewhere in the country,” said the police officer to the new Indian Express.
