INEC recognizes Wike-backed PDP NWC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has accepted the National Working Committee faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as the genuine leadership of the party.

Abdulrahaman Mohammed and several others were elected as members of the PDP NWC at the party’s national convention held on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The commission confirmed the acceptance of the new party leadership in a post on its official website on Monday.
