Inequity: Mutfwang forbids the night to play in the highlands

The Governor of the State of Plateau, Caleb Mutfwang, has banned the night that is grazing in the state following a series of attacks and murder in several communities.

Mutfwang issued a ban in broadcasts throughout the state on Wednesday in JOS, the capital of the state.

On April 2, armed people attacked Hurti, Josho, Daffo, and other communities in the Manguna District in the area and killed more than 70 people.

In a new attack on Sunday, criminals attacked the Zike and Kimakpa community in the Kwall District, Bassa Iregwe Head, and killed more than 20 people.

The attackers also destroyed property in the community.

The governor also limits livestock movements to vehicles in all parts of the country starting at 19:00

He said the move was intended to examine increasing security challenges in the state.

He said: “To restore calm and strengthen vigilance, hereby I announced that, effective Wednesday, April 16, the grazing of cows -but night was strictly prohibited.

“Also, livestock transportation with vehicles is prohibited after 19:00 the use of motorbikes is limited from 19:00 to 6:00 am in all states until further notification.”

The governor, who convinced citizens to commit his government to protect life and property, promised to support security institutions in the state.

Mutfwang insisted that the murder was not an isolated conflict between farmers and shepherds, and thanked the President of Bola Tinubu for his commitment to eternal peace in the state.
