Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has signed an Executive Order banning the movement of motorcycles at night in the state.
The Governor’s Press Secretary, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said in a statement on Thursday in Gusau that the order restricts the movement of motorcycles in the state from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., daily.
He added that the move was part of decisions taken during an emergency meeting of the country’s security council on Wednesday.
According to him, Governor Lawal signed Executive Order No. 07, 2024 after the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdul’aziz Sani (SAN), presented it to him at the Government House in Gusau.
