Intel plans to fire 21,000 other staff

American multinational companies and technology companies, Intel reportedly planned to dismiss more than 21,000 employees, in a step that sent shock waves through industry.

The report said Intel was undergoing steps to cut a large-scale cost in the middle of a challenging financial period.

The latest step follows the savings of 15,000 employees by the company in 2024.

More than 21,000 employees can be dismissed, perhaps in several divisions, according to people who are close to the situation, even though the corporation has not yet verified the right amount.

Intel has not yet given full public details, but previous comments from leadership have emphasized:

“We focus on efficiency and aligning resources with our top priority for long -term growth.”

Bloomberg reported that the CEO of Intel Lip-bu-Tan wanted to “restore the culture driven by engineering and streamline management” through layoffs.

After announcing 15,000 work layoffs in August 2024, the Santa Clara company, California based in California had around 108,900 workers at the end of last year.
