Iran launches missiles at Israel as tensions grip the Middle East

Iran on Tuesday launched missiles towards Israel as tensions continue to hang over the Middle East.

The country’s news agency, IRNA, confirmed that the military had begun launching ballistic missiles towards Israel.

This happened hours after the United States warned of Iran’s planned attack on Israel.

The Israeli military has also confirmed the attack.

It said sirens had been heard across Israel urging residents to move to safety.

Israeli and Hezbollah forces have exchanged attacks on the border since Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Jerusalem.

Iran has vowed to take revenge for the killing of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah last Friday in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon.
