Israeli airstrikes kill 5 people in West Bank

Five people were killed Monday night in an Israeli airstrike in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the incident on Tuesday.

The ministry said a drone fired several bullets at a group of people during the incident.

The Israeli army announced that a control room belonging to Palestinian militants in the Nur Shams refugee camp had been bombed.

The situation in the West Bank has deteriorated significantly since the start of the Gaza war following Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Since then, 624 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, confrontations or attacks in the West Bank, according to the Health Ministry.
