Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi has stated that he is looking forward to the start of the new season.
Iwobi, 27, was one of the Whites’ best players last season, and also starred for Marco Silva’s side in pre-season.
The former Arsenal man provided assists for Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore as Fulham beat Bundesliga club Hoffenheim 2-0 in a weekend friendly.
Iwobi is already excited ahead of the new season, as he hopes to provide more assists despite not getting the chance to score himself.
“It’s great to get this result, get some minutes of training under our belts. I’m really tired now but feel fit and ready to start the season,” Iwobi told Fulham’s official website.

“If I can’t score goals, at least I can create chances for my team-mates and Smith Rowe and Adama Traore will take those chances. It’s not just them – there are so many goal threats in this team.
“I’ve played with Emile in the past, I know the type of game he plays and the qualities he can bring to the team. I’ve made him feel welcome – he’s scored two goals in two games now – hopefully he can score three in three against United!
“He’s a good kid, easy going, always eager to learn, unselfish and easy to get along with. He makes everything easy for us – not just because of his footballing ability, his personality makes him a great addition to the team.
“You could almost pass the ball to Adama because he was so quick. I don’t think he knew how quick he was. When you have a weapon like that on the pitch you have to try and make the most of it.
“It was a great finish from him after running the length of the pitch to stay calm. It was great for him to score and it will do him a lot of good things in terms of confidence.”
