Iwobi Eyes Redemption Against Zimbabwe

Midfielder Alex Iwobi has emphasized the need for the Super Eagles to swiftly move on from their 1-1 draw with Lesotho.

The Super Eagles falters once again, drawing 1-1 against Crocodiles of Lesotho at Nest of Champions in Uyo on Thursday.

Looking ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the West Africans are determined to secure their first win against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Iwobi stated that the upcoming clash with Zimbabwe should now be the primary focus for the team

“Not the result we feel we deserve, but we can’t dwell on this, got many more games to come.”

“We’ll continue to fight and push” Iwobi wrote via his X handle.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will travel to Rwanda for their second Group game against Warriors of Zimbabwe.
